From recreational to pre-professional, CSB offers a variety of ways to learn the art of movement.

Come Train With Us!

Elementary Division

Elementary Division classes are based on developmentally appropriate movement programming for tots through beginning elementary-aged dancers. Placement is by age or grade.

Some classes are available for 7-week sessions through the City of Longmont Recreation Center; all other classes run on a semester basis.

Intermediate Division

CSB’s Intermediate classes serve dancers in roughly 3rd-6th grade, providing foundational training in the study of ballet, as well as an introduction to other movement modalities. Intermediate III dancers interested in pursuing the ABI track are encouraged to take both ballet classes and an additional elective of their choice.

Programs Offered at CSB

Advanced Division

Advanced classes serve dancers 6th grade+, deepening their training in ballet and offering a diverse range of elective options. Dancers will be evaluated and placed at a level appropriate for fostering their development in technique and artistry. Dancers training on pointe must enroll in at least two ballet technique classes each week. Advanced dancers interested in pursuing the ABI track or being placed in Advanced IV/V should enroll in all ballet technique classes for their level, including Advanced Stretch & Strength, and at least one additional elective of their choice.

Teen/Adult Recreational Program

CSB is thrilled to offer programming for teens 13+ and adults 18+ in our recreational division - whether you are returning to the dance floor or taking your first step - all are welcome! Classes run on a semester basis, with some offerings through Longmont Recreation Activities. Come find your groove with us!

Advanced Ballet Intensive Program (ABI)

CSB’s Advanced Ballet Intensive Program (ABI) is comprehensive, holistic ballet training for dancers across the Front Range. The ABI Program prepares students for collegiate dance experience and/or professional careers. Dancers in this program are committed to deepening their training as they refine their technique and expand their artistic capacities five days a week. ABI Program is by audition/invitation only. The Program is a year-long commitment. Dancers admitted to ABI who would like to train extensively but do not have early release/school flexibility may enroll in ABI classes through the Advanced IV program.
