Audition Registration for Centennial State Ballet’s Gala Performance featuring A Midsummer Night’s Dream
Online registrations are now open through January 24.
Auditions are held on January 26, 2019 from 11:15 AM – 3:45 PM.

After completing your online registration, you will receive a confirmation with specific times you will attend the audition. Some performers may be asked to attend more than one audition time.
Non-company males attend one audition. All male students age 5-18 will attend the boy’s/men’s audition at 1:00-1:30 PM. Adult male volunteers interested in an onstage role may also attend this audition.
Company males attend two auditions: Company audition 11:45-1:00 PM and boys/men audition 1:00-1:30 PM.
Females attend one audition. All female students registered for a dance program who are training en pointe will attend the audition at 11:15-11:45. Please be prepared to stay for Company audition at 11:45-1:00 if requested.
Females age 5-6, will attend 3:00-3:45.
Females age 7-8, will attend 2:15-3:00.
Females age 9-18, not training en pointe and/or registered for one or two weekly technique classes will attend 1:30-2:15.
Your registration confirmation email will include the specific times you will be asked to audition. Please watch for this email once you have completed your registration. (You should receive this email within 48 hours of registration from talent@centennialstateballet.
MANDATORY PARENT INFORMATION MEETING & VOLUNTEERISM INFORMATION:
There will be a mandatory parent informational meeting on the day of the auditions for each Ballet level. PARENTS OF AUDITIONERS MUST ATTEND THIS MEETING. This meeting includes important information about A Midsummer Night’s Dream rehearsal and production requirements and is updated each year. If you are unable to attend this meeting for any reason, please notify us at talent@centennialstateballet.
During this meeting, you will also receive information about available scholarships, performance fee reduction programs, and ways to volunteer and support Centennial State Ballet.
PARENT MEETING TIMES:
Please plan to attend the parent meeting that occurs during your performer’s audition. Parent meetings will be held in the meeting room upstairs from the studio.
Parents of non-company females training en pointe: 11:00-11:45
Parents of company members: 11:45-12:30
Parents of non-company males: 1:00-1:30
Parents of females age 5-6, will attend 3:00-3:45
Parents of females age 7-8, will attend 2:15-3:00
Parents of females age 9-18, not training en pointe and/or registered for one or two weekly technique classes 1:30-2:15
FEES AND PARTICIPATION:
There is a performance fee of $250 upon acceptance of part in A Midsummer Night’s Dream. Payment plans, fee reduction opportunities, and limited scholarships are available. More information will be provided at the mandatory parent meeting.
Rehearsals will begin on Saturday, February 2. Rehearsals will be on Fridays, Saturdays and/or Sundays. Rehearsals are held at Longmont Dance Theatre Academy until production week. Production week rehearsals and performances are held at Niwot High School Auditorium. If students miss more than one rehearsal, their part may be given to their understudy/alternate. More detailed information about rehearsals will be available after the cast list has been published.
Spring Break is March 25-31. There will be no rehearsals during Spring Break.
Easter is April 21. There will be no rehearsals scheduled for April 21, but there will be rehearsals scheduled on Friday, April 19 and Saturday, April 20.
A Midsummer Night’s Dream production week is Tuesday, April 23 through Friday, April 26.
Performances of A Midsummer Night’s Dream will be held at Niwot High School Auditorium on Saturday, April 27th at 2 pm and Sunday, April 28th at 1 pm.
